With the General Election now only a few days away on Thursday 4th July, John urges you to vote for what you believe in.
‘I’m sure that after weeks of turning off the TV every time the election is mentioned, or recycling 35 LibDem leaflets, there are still people out there not sure who they’re going to vote for. I’d just like to say that with Labour sure to win the national election, we need a good opposition, and that’s something the Green Party really does offer. Remember how Caroline Lucas functioned as a single-person opposition for the last 14 years. So when it comes to voting on Thursday, vote for what you believe in, not what other people tell you. If you want Real Hope, and Real Change – Vote Green! Thank you.’
Real Hope, Real Change – from our 2024 Manifesto
This general election is taking place during an ongoing cost of living crisis, in an increasingly volatile world. No wonder so many of us feel anxious and are losing hope in the future.
We live in one of the richest countries on the planet, and yet nurses are using food banks, our children’s schools are crumbling, a roof over our heads is all too often unaffordable, and a hospital appointment or a dentist is like gold dust.
Our promise to you is that all this can change. We can create a greener, fairer country together – one in which we are all safer, happier and more fulfilled.
It will take MPs prepared to make brave, principled choices on your behalf. And it will take the kinds of policies set out in our manifesto, and for which elected Green MPs will fight hard every single day for you.
